What Are Common Air Conditioning Problems?

Wesley Wood Service Experts is here with a couple of the most typical air conditioning problems in West Chester.

  • No Cool Air

If you can hear your air conditioner running but there isn’t cool air being produced, you might need to have your refrigerant levels analyzed. Refrigerant is what helps make sure the air being produced by your air conditioning system is actually cool. Call Wesley Wood Service Experts and we’ll come out and examine your refrigerant levels and look into why your system is not producing cool air.

  • Fan Won’t Rotate

One reason your condenser fan may not be rotating could be that it merely burned out and you require a replacement. Humidity could cause more condensation so another matter to watch for is that the water is not draining properly or that the drain is blocked. If you can verify these things, you may be able to find the issue; if not, give Wesley Wood Service Experts a call and we can look into what has stopped your condenser fan from rotating and discuss your options to get your system working again.

  • Not Cooling Properly

First, try lowering your thermostat. It sounds silly but sometimes we forget the obvious. If that doesn’t get your A/C cooling, inspect the air filter. If the air filter is blocked, it could cause huge cooling problems. Another issue that could cause your ineffective cooling is that your air conditioner is not sized properly, and unfortunately this is a common issue when homes are constructed. Wesley Wood Service Experts will come out and perform an analysis to determine if the size of your equipment is causing your issues.

  • System is Short Cycling

If your air conditioner is short cycling, or turning on or off continuously, it could mean one of many things. One is that your condenser or evaporator is dirty and in need of cleaning. Once the system is cleaned and all obstructions removed, you may be back in business. Keep in mind that humidity also plays a part so if your home cools to the right temperature, but then the humidity causes your home to heat up quickly, it could result in on-again, off-again air conditioning because the system is having to work harder to keep your home at a lower temperature.

No matter your trouble, whatever air conditioning trouble you run into, Wesley Wood Service Experts is here for you 24 hours a day so we can get your home comfortable quickly.
